About 10 years ago, I met Internet for the first time, through AOL. I would occasionally browse the net to find something homework-related, but that was it– I didn’t even had internet at home, my best friend would allow me to use her computer once in a while. Later, when I was in Jr. High, about 6 or 7 years ago, I was told by one of my teachers to get an e-mail address and I began using the MSN IM once in a while. I began to think that Internet was useful and really cool, but it was barely 4 years ago when I fell in love with it… and with the computers.
Through this 4 years, I’ve had dozens of… mini-blogs (so to speak), but I’ve only had two serious attempts at a formal blog. The first one, “Alteregos en la Blogosfera”, was a MSN Space that I updated regularly for about a year and a half; but then I learned HTML and a bit of PHP and discovered that there were better things (faaaaaaar better, indeed) than the MSN Social Network. And the second one, A World Of Snippets, was hosted and powered by Blogger.com… and it is still there, as a matter of fact.
I have absolutely nothing against Blogger.com (I mean, it’s a Google thing… and I LOVE Google), but I have been thinking a lot and all those thoughts led me to a conclusion: I need to start a third blog. The reasons are many: for example, though I do like Blogger, I think WordPress can give me a lot more liberties. Plus, now I can have my own domain (yay!) but not now, sadly… I need to save up some money. [Read the rest of this entry...]
