I miss Priori Incantatem (mi Harry Potter fansite)…

I miss writing fanfiction…

I miss creating wallpapers and fool around in photoshop (stuff not work-related ¬¬)…

I miss my personal “projects” (my catharsis, my way to forget about the intricacies of day to day life)…

I miss MY BLOG.

And I know it misses me…

Oh, the horror! Oh, the tragedy! Oh… the drama! ¬¬

In about a month or so I’ll be free of the burden of school and I might be able to dedicate some time to my world of snippets and some other things I’ve put on hold for far too long (I blame the so called real world for this), like my unfinished fanfics, special sections for AWOS and a couple of new projects.

But I know myself and I’m sure it’s going to be hard for me to get working on all these things, so I write these lines here and now, hoping that they will act as a written “promise”. Then, maybe, I’ll take this more seriously and actually do somethin’.
Only time will tell… [effing time... grrr!]

It was about time, for God’s sake! For a few months I was rather upset because I couldn’t publish the usual crap, but I’m back… with tons of it! For those poor deluded fools who thought you’d got rid of me: HA! Too bad, it’s not gonna happen. After being server-less for a long while, I’m back in the blogosphere.

Long story short: the so-called crisis allowed me not to be able to pay for hosting for this blog and for my Harry Potter site (which, by the way, is going to re-open soon– of course you guys probably don’t care, because it is in spanish) but now, thanks to those loonies at Dreamhost, and their crazy offer this past April Fool’s Day, A World of Snippets is back online XD

Right now, I have tons of work to do, so I’m gonna get going. I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am to come back. Incidentally, I changed the layout for one that I kinda liked and got from freelayouts.com, but when I have some spare time (hahahaha, yeah, right) I’m gonna try and create one that’s a bit more… me.

Right, then… I’m off!

I would occasionally browse the net to find something homework-related, but that was it– I didn’t even had internet at home, my best friend would allow me to use her computer once in a while. Later, when I was in Jr. High, about 6 or 7 years ago, I was told by one of my teachers to get an e-mail address and I began using the MSN IM once in a while. I began to think that Internet was useful and really cool, but it was barely 4 years ago when I fell in love with it… and with the computers.

Through this 4 years, I’ve had dozens of… mini-blogs (so to speak), but I’ve only had two serious attempts at a formal blog. The first one, “Alteregos en la Blogosfera”, was a MSN Space that I updated regularly for about a year and a half; but then I learned HTML and a bit of PHP and discovered that there were better things (faaaaaaar better, indeed) than the MSN Social Network. And the second one, A World Of Snippets, was hosted and powered by Blogger.com… and it is still there, as a matter of fact.

I have absolutely nothing against Blogger.com (I mean, it’s a Google thing… and I LOVE Google), but I have been thinking a lot and all those thoughts led me to a conclusion: I need to start a third blog. The reasons are many: for example, though I do like Blogger, I think WordPress can give me a lot more liberties. Plus, now I can have my own domain (yay!) but not now, sadly… I need to save up some money.

Also, my life has changed drastically in the last two months and maybe this is one of the ways for me to show it… I mean, two months ago I was finishing high school, I was single and I had no job. And now, I’m in the University, I have a brilliant job and a great boyfriend… But I’ll talk about this in the next post.

For now, before I go, I welcome you to A World Of Snippets v. 2.0 (I really like the name of my blog so I’m not changing it)! Oh, and also: every entry I posted on AWOS 1.0 was always written in two languages (english and spanish); I’ll keep updating this new AWOS on both languages, but the posts won’t be the same anymore, i.e., I may write about one thing in the english section of AWOS and about a completely different matter in the spanish section. This is because I realized that some things are absolutely irrelevant to one of the languages sometimes and also, some stuff is hard (or even impossible) to translate, such as certain jokes or puns.

Anyway, be welcome (again) and I hope this new AWOS can be of interest to you and if it is, please don’t forget to leave a comment. Feedback is very much appreciated =)
